This painting was created dripping paint off sticks to create controlled splatters in the style of Jackson Pollock. It was commissioned by an art collector located in the Dupont Circle of Washington, DC.

Saint George and the Dragon (#1)
Traditional Icon

This painting was created using gouache and gold leaf on masonite and pays tribute to one of the most popular icons in early Byzantine art. The legend tells us that George the warrior defeated a dragon that allegedly had been devouring the good townspeople. All the depictions I have seen show the dragon already lanced but I thought I'd give him a sporting chance.
